Online Fraud Charges Surge Past 8,000 as Malaysia Pushes New Cybercrime Law
Malaysia has recorded 8,014 online fraud charges by May 2026, far exceeding last year's total. Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid is pushing the Cyber Crime Bill 2026 through Parliament to modernise the country's legal defences.
